Internationale Dag van het Zicht

The organization Vision 2020, a global initiative, based in London, organizes the annual World Day of Sight that gives special attention to blindness and vision disorders. 

In many developing countries, men are twice as likely to receive eye care, than women. As a result, about two thirds of blind people worldwide are women (or girls). Vision 2020 wants to use strategies that will rectify this inequality.
